Auditions are set for Family Music Theatre’s production of Annie
We welcome and encourage actors of all backgrounds, identities, body types, and abilities to audition. Actors must be local to the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This is an unpaid community theatre production. All performers who audition will be considered for all roles.

SHOW SYNOPSIS
Leapin’ Lizards! With a heart full of hope, little orphan Annie sets out to find the family she’s always dreamed of. Featuring iconic songs like “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard-Knock Life,” this beloved classic returns with a contemporary spirit—reminding us that sunshine is still just a day away.

AUDITION & CALLBACK LOCATION
New Vida Center, 3727 West Kiest Blvd, Dallas, TX 75233
AUDITION WILL INCLUDE:
MUSIC: Please prepare 16-32 bars (approximately 60 seconds) of a published Musical Theatre song of your choice. Please bring sheet music and have your start and stop indicated on your music. Accompanist provided, no soundtracks/a cappella. Please DO NOT sing from the show.
DANCE: Dancing will be done at general auditions. Auditioners will learn and be asked to perform a general audition combo. Preview video will be available on July 15th.
IF SELECTED FOR THE CAST OF THIS PRODUCTION:
First Cast Meeting: August 21, 2026 at 7pm
First Rehearsal: August 24, 2026 at 7pm
Rehearsal will be August 24 - October 15th and generally run Monday-Friday from 6-10pm (most nights start at 7pm) and some Saturday mornings, depending on the cast's availability and if scenes/choreography need additional time.
